Robin BOCQUET was born in Lille in 1958. He received in 1986 his PhD thesis in “diluted matter and optics” entitled “Extension of a spectrometer frequency range from micro-wave to far infrared” Lille1 university. From 1986 till 1989, he has been an ingenier in the “Laboratory of radiopropagation and electronics” of the University of Lille1 – works on Doppler effect used for getting speed and position of terrestrian vehicles. In 1989, he became assistant professor in the “Laboratoire de Spectroscopy Hertzienne” – works on far infrared spectroscopy and developement of THz spectrometers and obtained his “habilitation à diriger des recherches” in 1999. Still 2000, he is Professor at the “University of Littoral Côte d’Opale” at Dunkirk France research in the “Laboratory of Physics and Chemistry of the Atmosphere”. During 9 years he was the director of the “Laboratory of Physics and Chemistry of the Atmosphere” UMR CNRS 8101 and in 2006 the director of IRENI “Institut de Recherches en Environnement Industriel ”.

Since 2009, he is the Vice president of the ULCO University, in charge of the researchs.

Areas of Expertise:
Rotational spectroscopy in the far infrared, development of sources and sensors in THz region and their applications of molecular spectroscopy, detection and quantification of atmospheric pollutants.
