Campaign of atmospheric simulations on CHARME as part of the LEFE FiLL project

An atmospheric simulations campaign as part of the LEFE FiLLl project has just ended in LPCA. This campaign was carried out in the CHARME atmospheric simulation chamber and aimed to study the atmospheric reactivity of Furans, a family of compounds particularly emitted during the combustion of biomass. For 3 weeks, the synergy of researchers, engineers and students of 4 laboratories (IMT Nord Europe, PC2A, NOAA and LPCA) and their respective instruments made it possible to carry out an in-depth study of the formation of secondary organic aerosols and their properties in night atmospheric conditions.

We thank all the participants and the coordinator of the Manolis Romanias project for the realization of this campaign and we particularly thank Matthew Coggon of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for his investment and his expertise during this campaign.
